Ball State University’s Glick Center for Glass in partnership with the School of Art will host its annual glass ornament sale Dec. 3 from noon to 8 p.m. at the Alumni Center. The sale will feature works from the metals, clay, and glass guilds, including a variety of hand-blown glass ornaments starting at $20 each.

Hot glass demonstrations and a second pop-up sale at the Glick Center will take place Dec. 5 from 6-9 p.m. in conjunction with the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse and Minnetrista.

Proceeds from the 2015 sale will fund a spring trip to Poland for Ball State glass students. During the overseas visit, the students will improve their cold shop skills through a series of workshops and site visits arranged by visiting Polish professor Marzena Krzeminska-Baluch.

“The glass sale is a great outreach effort for us, one that’s well received by the community,” said junior Clayton Burns, treasurer of Ball State’s Glass Guild. “We have a lot of inventory to offer this year, and we’re excited for the glass blowing demonstrations because they’re the most fascinating part of the process for the public.”
