Software Engineering Director Dave Pilkington and client Alan Holdren of Atlas Collections will honor higher education, career focus, culture, diversity and community service February 25th.

MUNCIE, Ind.  – Ontario Systems, a leading technology and services provider to the healthcare and accounts receivable management industries, congratulated Software Engineering Director Dave Pilkington, along with friend and client Alan Holdren of Atlas Collections, on their finalist nominations for the College Mentors for Kids Inspire Awards today. Pilkington’s nomination highlights his mentorship of Client Onboarding Consultant Ashley Poortenga. Both he and Holdren were selected from a pool that included more than 100 potential finalists, who will be honored by College Mentors for Kids at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis at a luncheon on February 25th.

“It’s clear that Dave’s heart lies in coaching and teaching,” Poortenga explains. “The time he has spent encouraging me to think like a leader while walking me through topics I wanted to learn has inspired me to help foster change and cultivate a personal development plan for this stage of my career. Dave has so much wisdom to offer, and I am so grateful for his willingness to bring that knowledge to the mentorship program at Ontario Systems. He is an incredible resource, mentor and now friend.”

Pilkington and Holdren will join more than 30 other finalists at the event, honored for their mentorship roles in functions spanning accounting to nonprofit. They will join representatives in a variety of award categories from Starbucks, Target, PricewaterhouseCoopers, IU Health and many others.

“Both David and Al are model mentors in the community,” says Ontario Systems CTO Michael Wolfe. “It is no surprise they have been named as finalists. These two leaders represent the spirit of great mentors, honoring Muncie and their respective companies by giving their gifts to others so freely. They believe in commitment to helping others and paying it forward to create a new group of people who will do the same. We are very proud of them and congratulate them both on this accomplishment.”
