The 2016 East Central March of Dimes March For Babies was held this afternoon at Ball State’s LaFollette Field. Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler was on hand to start the walk, as approximately 150 walkers made the three-mile trek through the Ball State campus in support of the March Of Dimes mission…to give all babies a healthy start.
“March of Dimes is truly grateful for the amazing group of sponsors, volunteers, walk teams, and donors that joined together to help make the 2016 East Central March for Babies an incredible success!” said organizer Elizabeth Tollefson. “Because of a team effort today, we are making greater strides in this community for healthier mothers and babies!”
Before and after the walk, participants enjoyed bounce houses, a carnival, an antique tractor, snacks and drinks, a selfie station, and music provided by local media partners, 104.9 WERK-FM, 104.1 WLBC, 93-5 MAX, and 96-7 BLAKE FM.
