Cancer Services has had the great privilege of working with two Immersive Learning groups this year; Dr. Adam Kuban’s Ingelhart Journalism Scholars and Dr. Peggy Fisher’s Communication and Health Science undergrad and graduate students. During the 2015 Fall semester, through the crossing of stars, Dr. Fisher learned she was facing a second breast cancer diagnosis as Dr. Kuban’s students began to materialize the Facing Project’s  “Facing Cancer in East Central Indiana” with Cancer Services of ECI-Little Red Door, IU Health Ball Memorial, St. Vincent Anderson Regional, Indiana Campus Compact and the Ball Brothers Foundation as community partners.

Dr. Fisher is finishing up chemotherapy, her students are graduating, Dr. Kuban’s students will move along in their college educations, but we wish to thank them for their dedication, time and talent and Cancer Services of ECI- Little Red Door marches on.

Wednesday, May 18th, Cancer Services of ECI – Little Red Door is holding our annual Little Red Lunch at Amazing Joe’s. We thank those who support us faithfully every year and we encourage anyone who wants to learn more about our agency and what we do to serve communities in East Central Indiana to please bring your family, friends and colleagues during your lunch hour and let us serve you BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans (w/a beverage.) Tickets are $12 and deliveries can be made with an order of 10 or more lunches. Sponsorships are $100 and include 4 tickets, media and print advertising coverage.

The Facing Project’s “Facing Cancer in East Central Indiana” which debuted and was released March 19th 2016, will be available, free of charge for those who attend our Little Red Lunch.

Cancer Services ECI – Little Red Door is an independent not-for-profit cancer care/prevention, resource and education agency. We serve locally and are funded locally through our outreach efforts, community generosity, donations, private grants and memorials. We are not connected to nor do we receive funding from the federal government, the American Cancer Society or any other cancer agency. Your support remains in the local communities we serve and will benefit the many people and families struggling with a cancer diagnosis in ECI as they navigate through their treatment and recovery.

Contact Executive Director Aimee Fant (email) aimee@littlereddooreci.org for ticket and sponsorship information, or call (765) 284-9063.
