Cornerstone’s Fall Twelve Week Classes Announced

Cornerstone Center for the Arts will offer a series of classes this fall for youth, families and adults in a wide variety of areas. The Fall Twelve Week Class Session begins the week of September 12 and continues through December 10. Cornerstone’s class fees are affordable, one-time payments that cover the full twelve weeks of class. Areas of interest include: visual arts, martial arts, theatre, dance, fitness, creative writing, and music.

Children and family classes include: Early Ballet I for ages 1-2 or 3-5, Early Ballet II, Youth Ballet I, Family Dance Time for ages 1-2 or 3-5, Early Tap I & II, Early Hip Hop Jazz I & II, Youth Hip Hop, Youth Lyrical, Musical Theatre Dance, Early & Youth Piano, Music & Movement, Family Ceramics, Youth Ceramics, Family Art for ages 1-2 or ages 3-5, Creative Drawing, Manga & Comic Book Drawing, Calligraphy & Graffiti, Acting 101 & 102, Martial Arts, Creative Writing and more!

Adult classes available during the twelve-week session are: Basic Ballet for Adults I & II, Contemporary & Jazz, Adult Hip Hop, Indian & Bollywood, Beginning Belly Dance, Egyptian Cane Dancing, Tribal Fusion & Sword Dancing, Swing Dancing, Salsa Dancing, Ballroom Dancing, Tango Dancing, Acting for Grown Ups, Drawing, Adult Ceramics, Intermediate Adult Ceramics, Painting, Pastels, Pinworthy Crafts, Fantasy Art, Drawing, Upcycled Jewelry, Creative Drawing, Manga & Comic Book Drawing, Calligraphy & Graffiti, Abstraction in Watercolor, Creative Writing, Pilates, Yoga, USA Combat Jujitsu, and more!

Cornerstone will offer a three day long Fall Break Arts Camp October 11-13 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The camp is designed for students ages 7 to 14 and will cost $75 per student. Participants will experience three days of classes in visual arts, dance, theatre, martial arts, writing, fitness and more! Each day will include instruction in multiple areas.

Cornerstone will again offer its popular painting workshops Pints & Paints, Kids & Paints, and Coffee & Paints throughout the fall into the winter. The organization will also hold two children’s workshops a Flower Pot Fairy House workshop on October 1 and an Audition workshop on September 17. Cornerstone will host two free map history workshops in partnership with Ball State Libraries titled: Dear Muncie: Mapping Muncie History Using 19th Century Diaries and Happy Birthday Indiana: Mapping 200 Years of Indiana History.

In addition, private lessons are available to students of all ages in the following areas: Dance, Drums, Guitar, Piano, Saxophone, Strings, Trumpet, Voice.
