Muncie, IN – Join the Muncie Symphony Orchestra and guest artist, Raúl Prieto Ramírez, for “Organ Celebration” in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Sursa Organ this Saturday, September 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Sursa Performance Hall.

“This will be a special event as we celebrate the great Sursa organ as well as international soloist, Raúl Prieto Ramírez,” says Douglas Droste, Artistic Director and Conductor.” “Raul lives in Muncie, performs all over the world, and this will be a rare treat to hear him both on a concerto and Saint-Saens’ famous Organ Symphony.”

Described as “sizzling” and “transcendent”, Spanish organist Raúl Prieto Ramírez is among the world’s elite international organ performers. Following studies in Spain, Ramírez was appointed as Organist-in-Residence of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid. Currently on faculty at Ball State University’s School of Music, Ramírez maintains an active performance schedule and is artistic director of the International Organ Festival in Barcelona.

Pre-concert talk begins at 6:30 p.m. in Sursa Hall with Douglas Droste and Raúl Prieto Ramírez.
