MUNCIE, IN— We’re Trying Collective and Reacting Out Loud are partnering for a poetry open mic and fundraiser for “On the Mark, For the City” at Two Cats Cafe (1813 W. University Ave.) on Sunday, November 13th from 6-8 p.m.

Reacting Out Loud is an independent organization devoted to uplifting poetry and affirming community in Muncie. On the Mark, For the City is a collaborative mural project that aims to harness the power of art and creativity to celebrate the diversity of the Muncie community. The mural will be painted on the south wall of the Mark III Taproom (306 S. Walnut St) in spring 2017.

Attendees of the event will be able to donate and contribute to a collaborative art piece, and all funds will go to the mural project. All attendees can sign up to read, and LGBTQIA+ poets are encouraged to share their work in conjunction with the mission of On the Mark, For the City.
