Muncie Central Welcomes New Assistant Principal Steve Douglas

Muncie, IN—On Monday, January 23, Mr. Steve Douglas will join Muncie Central as an Assistant Principal. Mr.Douglas served in the Indianapolis Public Schools for over 25 years. His professional experience in education includes Industrial Technology Teacher, Interim Principal, Vice Principal, Dean, Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Head Track Coach, and Varsity Wrestling Coach. He comes to Muncie Community Schools after serving a brief period with the Chrysler Corporation as a People Development Specialist, further enhancing his experience and knowledge in Industry.

Mr. Douglas is an Alumnus of Arsenal Technical High School, Ball State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and Butler University earning a Master’s Degree is School Administration.

“My experiences, my passion, and my commitment to excellence will fuel my effort as I serve as Assistant Principal,” said Mr. Douglas. “I am excited and also humbled to have this opportunity. I look forward to joining the MCS Administrative Team and the MC Board in their mission to make a difference in the lives of the youth of the Muncie community.”
