Muncie, IN—PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union is teaming up with the beloved Berenstain Bears to teach children the responsible money management concept Save, Share, Spend, Earn. PrimeTrust is an official sponsor of The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Program, a youth education and outreach program created in response to the growing need for financial literacy. This partnership means young members of PrimeTrust will be exposed to money management in a fun, engaging way. Moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, and uncles will also benefit knowing their efforts are being supported by their Credit Union and reinforced by the iconic Berenstain Bears.

The Bears will make their first appearance at Minnestrista’s free Family Adventure Day on Wednesday, March 22. Then the Bears will be at Family Fun Night at Mitchell and North View Elementary Schools on Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30. After an exciting week, Brother and Sister Bear will have their own Open House at the Bethel Branch, 3700 W Bethel Ave, of PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union to officially kick-off The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Program from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 1.

PrimeTrust will have snacks, games, crafts, and giveaways. Brother and Sister Bear will be there to meet the kids. Staff will be available to open Cub Accounts for the kids. Just bring the child’s original social security card and original birth certificate, $25, and an adult with valid photo ID. When you open a Cub Account, the child will receive:

  • Special Cub Account membership card
  • The Berenstain Bears Trouble with Money book at account opening and other Berenstain books throughout the year
  • Treat coupon from Baskin Robbins during their birthday month
  • Invitations to special events with Brother and Sister Bear
