Muncie, INThe YMCA of Muncie held its Annual Campaign’s Victory Celebration, announcing the goal of $260,000 was exceeded.

A team of 140 volunteers and staff solicited over 700 donations from community members and corporations. Co-chairs Melanie Howe and Dan Wolfert led the celebration that not only recognized the accomplishment of exceeding the $260,000 goal, but also the dedication of the volunteers and staff to ensure the Y is accessible for all.

“Throughout our community, countless people know the Y. But there’s so much more to our Y than one might think, said Chad Zaucha, CEO, YMCA of Muncie. “The Y is more than a gym. It’s a cause. As a charity, we’re dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the nation’s health and well-being, and giving back and providing support to our neighbors.”

Funds raised will support kindergarten readiness, provide quality child care for working families, expose children to outdoor educational experiences at Camp Crosley YMCA and ensure every child has the opportunity to belong to our Y and reach their potential.
