Muncie, IN – Matt Howell, member of the Muncie Rotary Club, was named Rotarian of the 2018-19 year in Rotary International District 6560. According to Dale Basham, 6560 District Governor for 2018-19, “Matt received the award for his service in Rotary brand and public relations efforts by developing the district website and utilizing social media platforms by documenting in photos and words the many District activities, events, programs and projects throughout the year – letting people know about the many great things being done by Rotary Clubs throughout the District.

Matt created graphic design work for district themes, programs and service projects and travelled throughout Indiana and the Midwest to cover District activities throughout the year.  Matt and his team at Farmhouse Creative Inc. sorted through the photo images and related copy, placing them on social media platforms to illustrate the vibrancy of the Rotary District’s “Service Above Self” efforts.”  Kelly Shrock, President of the Muncie Rotary Club, added, “We are so pleased that the District saw what our Club has known all along that Matt is a wonderful example to Rotarians of “Service Above Self.”

Matt Howell stated, “It was a pleasure to support Dale Basham during his governorship of Rotary District 6560.  We were able to deliver on his vision for a successful and exciting year as Governor.  I’m very humbled by this award.”  Professionally, Howell is Vice President of Farmhouse Creative Inc. in Muncie and also serves as a board member of the Muncie Rotary Club.  He manages the club website, Facebook pages and other social media platforms.  In July, Howell received the Merrill Greene award for Club Service from the Muncie Rotary Club.
