The new route will run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The new route closely resembles the current Route 12: Ivy Tech.  Route 17 will pull in on the West side of the transfer station and take High to Adams to Liberty to Hoyt to 26th to Tillotson.  It will pull into the new Justice Center and drop off/pick up in front of the facility before exiting back onto South Tillotson. It will then continue on to 26th to Cowan Rd/Port to Hoyt to Liberty to Jackson to the MITS transfer station (see the map below.)  The Justice Center route will leave the transfer station on the hour and half hour beginning at 8:30 a.m.  A map and schedule is also available on the MITS website and app.

Please note: this route is being added as a trial route, meaning that from February 1st, 2021 through July 31st, 2021 MITS will track the usage of the new route and a determination to keep the route or discontinue it will be made in August of 2021.

As a reminder, day passes may be purchased on the bus for $1.00 and allow riders an unlimited number of trips on the purchase date.  A monthly pass is $18.00 and allows unlimited rides for 30 consecutive days; the countdown begins on the first day that the pass is used (i.e. you purchase your pass on February 1st, 2021 it will be good through March 2nd, 2021).

MITS continues to deep clean every vehicle at night and all drivers have supplies to disinfect surfaces between each trip.  MITS is still encouraging all of our riders to wear face masks.  If you do not have a mask all buses are equipped with a supply of masks for riders.  Additional information concerning MITS can be obtained by calling 765-289-MITS (6487) or checking the MITS Bus app or
