Muncie, IN—The partnership between Muncie Area Youth for Christ (YFC) and the Muncie Youth Opportunity Center (YOC) continues a program that rolled out in late 2019, called the Juvenile Justice Ministry (JJM), but with new leadership. The program seeks to engage young people in juvenile institutions. This strategy helps young people acquire and develop a way of living; taught by Jesus Christ, balancing the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of life. These valued relationships are sustained through ongoing involvement as they reenter their communities.

Daniel (Danny) Ivy will be the new Muncie JJM Director. Danny served our country as a member of the U.S. Army/Indiana Army National Guard for over 30 years. He was also on the Muncie Fire Department for over 30 years. Although retired from both professions, Danny continues to serve in our local community. He works as a substitute teacher for the Muncie Community School Corporation and serves on the Board of Directors for Destiny Christian Center International.

Since 1944, Youth for Christ has played a pivotal, catalytic role in youth evangelism. Youth for Christ’s mission is to “reach young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.”
