Muncie, IN—The Great Futures Dinner is a long-standing tradition benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie (BGCM), and this year’s event will prove to be like no other. This year’s virtual program will stream online on the Club’s Facebook page, website, and YouTube channel beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021.

BGCM is proud to announce this year’s Presenting Sponsor: Magna Powertrain of America, Inc. The event includes an online auction, a performance by the dance team, stories from our Clubs, and the awarding of the 2021 Pat C. Botts Youth of the Year, sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College. This event is an opportunity to support the Clubs’ goal of raising $75,000 to fund a 7-week summer camp program for Muncie Club Kids.

Guests can participate in a number of ways:

  1. Register for the event: tickets are free, but you must sign up.
  2. Order breakfast for dinner: to enjoy dinner during the event, you can purchase a ticket that includes a breakfast for dinner meal delivery from Once Upon a Plate Catering. The deadline to purchase the meal is April 8, 2021.
  3. Register and participate in the online auction: items currently up for grabs in the web auction include items from Muncie Civic Theater, Inland Goods, the Fort Wayne Zoo, Graeter’s Ice Cream, Holiday World, King’s Island, Victory Honda, Simple Goodness Soaps, Sparks Computerized Car Care, Stained Glass Hands, and more.  You can also donate toward the purchase of items for the Clubs.

All proceeds from the event will benefit BGCM, whose mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential. The Great Futures Dinner is a kickoff event for the 2021 Theme – Great Futures Start with Us.

“’Us’ isn’t just referring to the Boys & Girls Clubs. It’s referring to our kids, our schools, and our community. 2020 was a difficult one, but it was a year that all of us came together for our kids,” explained Jason Newman, CEO.

Plan to join the Clubs, Club Kids, and families on April 22 by registering now at www.bgcmuncie.org/gfd.
