26 Muncie Streets To Be Paved In 2021

Muncie, IN- In 2020, Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour and  City Council members met on multiple occasions to discuss what direction to take on infrastructure for Muncie street work in 2021 and beyond.

INDOT recently awarded Muncie $2.1 million for Tillotson resurfacing from Kilgore to McGalliard and $0.9 million and $1.6 million for McGalliard resurfacing from Tillotson to Wheeling and from Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. to the East Muncie Bypass.

The City of Muncie has $2.495 million budgeted for neighborhood street repair and paving.

The following streets are slated for paving in 2021:

  • 9th St. from Ribble to Meeker
  • 13th St. from Eaton to Burlington
  • 14th St. from Grant to Penn
  • 14th St. from Mock to end
  • 14th St. from Meeker to 13thre
  • 15th St. from Grant to Penn
  • 16th St. from Beacon to Penn
  • 23rd St. Walnut to Mulberry
  • Adams St. from Manning to dead end
  • Ashland Ave. from Riley to Alden
  • Edgewood Dr. from Manor to dead end
  • Edgewood Dr. from dead end to Gilbert
  • Elgin St. from Wabash to Indiana
  • Elsie Ave. from Linden to Haines
  • Greenwood Ave. from University to turn
  • Hartford Ave. from Depauw to Harvard
  • Main St from Calvert to Martin
  • Manhattan Ave from dead end to Jackson
  • New York Ave. from dead to Neely
  • New York Ave. from dead end to Cowing
  • North St. from Dicks to Greenwood
  • Winthrop Rd. from Brook to Petty
  • Winthrop Rd. from Brook to Petty
  • Wort St. from Queens to Riverside
  • Centennial- Elgin to Bypass
  • Riverside & Jackson Intersection

Street work was one goal in Mayor Ridenour’s campaign to improve if elected. He and his administration has been diligent in finding every opportunity to make the streets of Muncie safe and convenient for all.
