Celebrate the Fall Season With DWNTWN ArtsWalk, Pumpkin Trail & Glow

MUNCIE, Ind. — Follow the Pumpkin Trail and welcome the fall season to Muncie during the October ArtsWalk from 5–8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7. The annual, free event celebrates art, music and culture in the community.

The October ArtsWalk will feature:

  • Pumpkin Trail and Glow, sponsored by Muncie–Delaware County Visitors Bureau
  • YART (yard sale for art)
  • Art exhibits and galleries featuring local artisans and various media at Madjax and galleries across DWNTWN
  • Live music at Canan Commons, including Jacob Smith Ensemble, Ball State University Studio Jazz, the Muncie Ballet Studio and AHB Jazz Combo
  • Chalk it up to Thankfulness: Chalk artists producing their representation of thankfulness throughout DWNTWN, sponsored by The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County, Inc.
  • Food trucks
  • Muncie–Delaware County Visitor Bureau Grand Opening: Open house from 5–8 p.m., ribbon-cutting at 5:30 p.m.
  • Spirit of Muncie marching band (6–7 p.m., roaming DWNTWN)

Registration for the Pumpkin Glow, an all-ages pumpkin-carving competition, closes Oct. 4. A $100 cash prize will be awarded to the People’s Choice pumpkin in each of three age groups: 8-13, 14-17 and 18 or older. To learn more and register, visit downtownmuncie.org/pumpkinglow.

ArtsWalk is a special edition of First Thursday, which occurs the first Thursday of every month DWNTWN. Free parking is available in city lots and along select streets downtown.
