MUNCIE, IN—What is Muncie’s connection to M&Ms candy? Who was Diamond Heels Hattie?

You can find out these answers and learn more interesting facts about Muncie at the annual Historic Beech Grove Cemetery Tour hosted by the Old West End Neighborhood Association. This year’s event will be held on October 8th  from 3:30-7:30 pm.

The guided walking tour of the cemetery grounds takes a different route each year, highlighting notable Muncie residents interred in Beech Grove, many who played roles of national significance. Local actors are featured along the way, respectfully bringing life to historic figures.

Tours will depart approximately every half hour and do require walking a good distance on uneven ground.

Tickets can be purchased at the gothic gate at 1400 West Kilgore Avenue during the event or purchased in advance at Eventbrite.com. Children under 12 are admitted free but must be accompanied by an adult. For the safety of guests, please park across the street from the main gate.

Refreshments will be served near the fountain, and artifacts and displays will be on view in the chapel.
