Muncie Innovation Connector to host benefit for Delaware County nonprofits January 21-22, 2017

eKeeper Systems, an IT consulting firm providing comprehensive technology services to companies throughout Central Indiana,  announced the first Website Thru The Nite (WTTN) challenge, calling for volunteers and nonprofit participants in Delaware County to come together at Muncie’s Innovation Connector, January 21-22, 2017.

The challenge will bring technical volunteers with web development experience to the table at Muncie’s Innovation Connector, where they will be paired with a local business in need of an enhanced or original website. Grouped into self- assembled teams, these volunteers will be provided with the branded elements each beneficiary specifies – including logos, photos, employee biographies, etc. – and will commit 24 consecutive hours to building that beneficiary a new online presence, from start to finish. Volunteers and nonprofits will not know who they will be paired with until the day of the event.

Nonprofits in need of a website are encouraged to apply through the WTTN site (link below) for a chance to receive a new website free of charge. Applications are being accepted for nonprofits & technical volunteers through Friday, August 5th, 2016 with a decision being made on the selected applicants shortly after. Ideal candidates include nonprofits who serve residents in Delaware County, and either have no web presence at all, or an outdated website requiring an upgrade. Technical volunteers are also encouraged to apply.

Board members leading the event include:

*  Jay Julian, Muncie-Delaware Chamber of Commerce

*  Erin Ailstock, Muncie-Delaware Chamber of Commerce

*  Ted Baker, Muncie Innovation Connector

*  Ashli Smith, Spotted Monkey Marketing

*  Richard Gill, Gill Bros. Furniture

*  Jenni Marsh, United Way of Delaware County

*  Toni Estep, Open Door Health Services

*  Casey Stanley, Ontario Systems

*  Dustin Humm, eKeeper Systems, Inc.

*  Sara Humm, eKeeper Systems, Inc.

*  Ashley Runkle, eKeeper System, Inc.

Website Thru The Nite will be funded through in-kind donations and sponsorship opportunities, to avoid drawing available grants or funds away from other nonprofits.”

“An event of this magnitude, with this many moving parts, and such a large scale of accomplishment, requires as much time and attention as possible. We look forward to what will surely be an amazing outcome.”For more information regarding the event, to apply as a nonprofit or a technical volunteer team, or to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, visit the website at websitethruthenite.com, or contact Ashley Runkle at (765) 759-0165 or arunkle@ekeepersystems.com.
