3rd Annual Delaware County Historical Society Beer Tasting to Take Place January 28th

Muncie, IN—On Saturday, January 28, the Delaware County Historical Society will host its third annual beer tasting fundraiser at the Fickle Peach. From 1:00-3:00PM, guests will sample four different regional craft beers, hear a history presentation on the Delaware Squad in the Mexican-American War, and have the option of taking part in a silent auction. Chris Piche of the Fickle Peach has selected four tastings including:

1). Walkabout Pale Ale from Flat 12 Bierwerks (Indianapolis)

2). Whiskey-Barrel-Aged Porter from Flat 12 Bierworks (Indianapolis)

3). Dó Dhéag Dry Irish Stout from Flat 12 Bierworks (Indianapolis)

4). MexiCali Premium Lager from Danny Boy Beer Works (Carmel)

The Fickle Peach’s entire bar will be open for those with wandering palettes.

Guests will also be invited to take part in a silent auction, featuring artwork from local artists and businesses including: The Caffeinery, Brooke Garza, the Book Arts Collaborative, Faith Kellermeyer, Alan Flook, Bradee Euliss, Aaron Brunsman, Tipsey Turvey, and several others.

All proceeds are tax deductible, the Delaware County Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) organization.

The annual fundraising event marks the beginning of the Delaware County Historical Society’s annual fundraising and programming efforts. In 2017, the DCHS will focus on local art history initiatives, pioneer cemetery restoration, genealogical research, and the reinterpretation of the Moore-Youse Home Museum. Two new exhibits will be on display later in the year including one on Delaware County in the First World War and the History of Muncie’s Sports Teams and Athletic Programs.
