Muncie, IN—Destiny Christian Academy, one of Muncie’s few multisite childcare centers, has acquired Kidz Korner to become the organization’s third location in Delaware County. Kidz Korner, 700 N Jefferson St. Muncie, IN 47305, was previously affiliated with Christ Temple Global Ministries.
The childcare center has taken on the name “Destiny Christian Academy–Central” and hosted a Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting event on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, that celebrated the new addition. The ribbon cutting with the Chamber of Commerce was attended by the mayor, local foundation leaders, bankers, and other non-profit officials interested in early childhood education as well as the general public.
Destiny Christian Academy is associated with Destiny Christian Center International, 5000 E Centennial Ave. Muncie, IN 47303. The Academy has been serving families in the Muncie area since 2013 and has locations on the church campus, a Yorktown location, and the newly acquired Central location on North Jefferson Street just east of Muncie Central High School.
“We are excited to acquire this new location. Part of our mission is to provide high quality care, prepare children for kindergarten, and to help increase the percentage of children reading at grade level by the third grade. Getting a good start in pre-school is essential to meeting this challenge,” said Bishop Keith O’Neal, Lead Pastor at Destiny Christian Center International. “We have over six years of successful experience with our flagship East location and our Yorktown location is doing well after just two years, both of which will benefit our running of this additional center,” added O’Neal.
A couple of changes at the new location will be extended hours and video monitoring. “Extended service times will allow us to serve our clients better and video monitoring allows our parents to view their child’s classroom at any time throughout the day,” asserted O’Neal.
