WIBU Announces Nominees for ATHENA Young Professional Award

MUNCIE, Ind.—Women In Business Unlimited, (WIBU) is pleased to announce that  Bri Green, Kate Elliott, Kyndra Haggard and Victoria Brewer are the four nominees for our 2021 ATHENA Young Professional Award.

Nominees for this award are emerging leaders who:

• Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession

• Provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community

Bri Green

Bri Green, a lifelong Muncie resident, is the Infectious Disease Program Manager at Aspire Indiana Health, where she works with a team across the state to provide services to individuals living with HIV, Hepatitis C, and individuals facing barriers and increased risks. She enjoys educating the community, helping to reduce stigma and increasing understanding while working from a harm-reduction based model. Bri is motivated by positive changes and seeing success in clients and the community.

 

Kate Elliott

Kate Elliott is a lecturer of journalism and coordinates the magazine media concentration at Ball State University. Kate is a difference maker who can always be found initiating a small act of kindness. She empowers and connects women through a Facebook group, storytelling projects, nonprofit work, Girl Scout leader and youth soccer coach. Kate lives by the mission to inspire empathy, understanding and action through storytelling and to lead with grace, kindness and honesty.

 

Kyndra Haggard

Kyndra Haggard is the Senior Assistant Director at the Ball State University Career Center where she assists students in increasing their professional development skills and serves in the role of connector for employers and students.  Kyndra is passionate about people and thrives on ensuring students achieve post-graduation success. She believes in the power of connections and therefore surrounds herself with impactful, empowering people, who embolden her to be better.  Kyndra lives by the motto, “Life’s a journey, not a destination”- Aerosmith

 

Victoria Brewer

Victoria Brewer, owner and operator of Once Upon a Plate Catering & Events strives to exceed expectations by developing long lasting relationships built on trust and consistency. She lives out this motto in business and in her personal interactions. Victoria believes that food is the story of life, love and health and therefore thrives on providing opportunities to prepare delicious meals where stories are shared. Her motivation comes from her ‘Can Do’ attitude paired with a strong drive to deliver memorable experiences.
