MUNCIE, Ind.— While Muncie Symphony Orchestra has transitioned to Orchestra Indiana, it will perform its final concert as MSO on April 30.

Featuring award-winning pianist Richard Glazier and featured singer Natalie Cordone, “Glorious Gershwin” will close out MSO’s 2021–2022 Indiana Trust Pop Series. “Glorious Gershwin” will feature many of the hit pieces from Ira Gershwin, one-half of the iconic Gershwin brothers who became known for their Broadway and opera musical scores.

The concert will feature classic songs like “The Man I Love” and “Embraceable You,” as well as instrumental masterpieces like “Strike Up the Band,” “Concerto in F” and “Rhapsody in Blue.”

Throughout the performance, Glazier, who grew up in Indianapolis, will play and reminisce about his friendship with Ira Gershwin, using rare footage and humorous anecdotes to create a memorable show.

Cordone is an accomplished performer, having headlined for a variety of orchestras across the country as well as The Gershwin Concert Experience and The Gershwin Big Band Experience.

Kermit Poling will guest conduct the orchestra.
