MUNCIE, IN—As a company located in Muncie, Magna Powertrain likes to connect with local charities, businesses, and non-profit organizations in order to show our support for the community. The Social Committee at Magna recently organized a fundraiser for ARF where MAGNA employees were encouraged to donate. MAGNA would then match all proceeds collected. The Nacho Average Fundraiser was able to raise $899 in support of ARF. With the Magna Matching Program, the grand total came to $1,798.00.

The proceeds raised will be able to help all the animals in ARF’s care. The money can aid with purchase of dog beds, towels, detergent, any surgeries or medications needed, dog and cat food, additional kennels, grooming supplies, etc.

The Animal Rescue Fund in Muncie, Indiana is an animal sanctuary dedicated to the medical care, education and placement of all animals. ARF was created by animal enthusiast, Terri Panszi in 1998.  Panszi began as an x-ray technician at Ball Memorial Hospital and founded the fund as the sole contributor for the animals she housed. All duties including, cleaning, feeding, and daily caretaking of all the animals was completed by Mrs. Panszi.

ARF is a great organization for the animal community and offers numerous resources for those with pets and animal lovers alike. ARF’s campus is home to the Adoption Center, Bark Park, Administration Building, Sanctuary House, Aluminum Recycling Corral, and the Catty Shack. Each building has a specific purpose, anything from housing for cats to long-term care for dogs with behavioral and/or medical issues. There are many ways that one can contribute to ARF via adoption, monetary donations, fostering, volunteering and supply donations.

At ARF, each pet adopted is matched with the right family to fit the animal’s needs and vice versa. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please visit their website at Munciearf.com to complete an application and check out the pets available for adoption.

ARF asks you to keep in mind any possible future plans in your life when considering the adoption of a new pet.
