Local Artists to Display and Sell Work at Cornerstone in November on First Thursday

MUNCIE, IN–Cornerstone Center for the Arts, 520 East Main St., again will host local artists and Cornerstone artists in displaying and selling their work Nov.2 from 5-8 p.m. in the Great Room.

Artist in Residence Debra Gindhart Dragoo is coordinating this event.

Community artists participating this November include Val Kelley, Mikell Vawter, Maya Doss, Angel Gillette, Megan Senate, Assata Flannigan, Liliana Osborne, Casey Myers, Jadon Stamm, Tom Stader, Janessa Erickson, Bards On The Run, Jill Palumbo, Anne Maddox, Jennifer Morris, Stephen B. Millben II, William Erickson, Danielle Hill, her daughter and Ashley Lambert

Cornerstone artists include Eugene Boyd, Mike Lassiter, Debra Gindhart Dragoo and Olivia Morrow.

Americana/Folk Musicians Jack Burton, Shari Flanders, David Calvin and Woody Statler will perform.

The featured artist for November is Marcia Wade, a retired MCS Muncie Community Schools educator. She and her late husband were dedicated art collectors and patrons of Muncie artwork. Most of the pieces of this donation were originally purchased from Gordy’s Fine Arts and Framing.

There are over forty pieces including ceramics, sculpture, prints, paintings and drawings.

If you’re currently a local art collector you will not want to miss this incredible art installation.

All proceeds go to Cornerstone Center for the Arts.who will be exhibiting work in an exhibit in Cornerstone’s Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery.
