MUNCIE, IN – Community members who have not yet received the updated COVID-19 vaccine have the opportunity to do so at upcoming Open Door Health Services clinics.

Covid vaccination clinics are the second Thursday of each month from noon-6 p.m., through March. The clinics take place at Open Door’s downtown Muncie health center, located at 333 S. Madison St.

Vaccination remains no-cost and is open to ages 6 months and older. No appointment is necessary.

While those receiving vaccination will not receive a bill, insurance will be billed when available. Open Door requests those with coverage bring an insurance card and photo ID.

Free at-home Covid tests kits will also available at the clinics.

Upcoming clinic dates:
Thursday, Dec. 14
Thursday, Jan. 11
Thursday, Feb. 8
Thursday, Mar. 14

Additional vaccination opportunities will take at partner sites and community events throughout winter and spring. A schedule of these events is at opendoorhs.org/covidvaccine, with new events added regularly.

In September, CDC recommended everyone 6 months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 illness this fall and winter. Individuals who have not received the updated vaccine and whose most recent Covid vaccine was at least two months ago are eligible. Vaccination remains the most effective prevention against hospitalization and death from Covid. The updated vaccine is currently the only Covid vaccine authorized for use in the U.S.
