MUNCIE, IN— Nonprofit Support Network is excited to announce that tickets are now available for the 2024 Nonprofit Summit, presented by Heart of Indiana United Way, scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Horizon Convention Center. This year’s summit will provide essential education, networking opportunities, and professional development for local nonprofits, continuing to strengthen the nonprofit sector in east central Indiana.
The Nonprofit Summit features a dynamic lineup of breakout sessions and networking opportunities. Attendees will hear from leading local, regional, and national voices, including an inspiring keynote by Dr. Deb Mashek, a relationship scientist and author renowned for her work on collaboration and building meaningful connections. Tickets for the Nonprofit Summit are $75 per person, with scholarships available for Muncie-Delaware County nonprofits and current college students by contacting nonprofitsummit@muncienonprofits.org.
The event will also include the Nonprofit Pulse Luncheon from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, featuring Dr. Deb Mashek’s keynote address Collaboration: From Empty Buzzword to Key Transformative Impact. This luncheon brings together nonprofit organizations, community and business leaders, volunteers, and passionate individuals to explore the power of true collaboration, share experiences, and advance stronger connections that drive meaningful change in the nonprofit sector. Tickets to the Nonprofit Pulse Luncheon are included in admission to the Nonprofit Summit or can be purchased separately for $45.
Dr. Deb Mashek, PhD, is a business advisor, professor, and national nonprofit executive with extensive experience in higher education administration. She is the author of Collabor(h)ate: How to Build Incredible Collaborative Relationships at Work and has been featured in numerous top media outlets. As the founder of Myco Consulting LLC, Deb helps mission-driven organizations navigate complex collaborations to achieve significant impact. Generous grant support from The George and Frances Ball Foundation made bringing this distinguished national speaker to the Nonprofit Summit possible.
The breakout sessions at the Nonprofit Summit will cover a range of vital topics to strengthen nonprofit leadership and operations. Sessions will explore enhancing employee engagement in mission-driven organizations, strategic storytelling for nonprofit success, fostering belonging and inclusive environments, increasing grant success, building inclusive boards, improving client care, and leveraging generative AI. Additionally, sessions on creating sustainable volunteer programs and assessing organizational health through lifecycle frameworks offer practical guidance to help nonprofits grow and thrive.
