MUNCIE, IN— Spring is here, and Cornerstone Center for the Arts is blooming with excitement as we look forward to a season of new growth and continued sustainability! As we approach the 100th anniversary of our beloved building in 2026, we are celebrating big strides in both preserving our historic facility and embracing eco-friendly practices. This season, we are proud to announce that we’ve made incredible progress thanks to our partnership with philanthropist Andy Gigante and the generous support of our community.
Since 2017, Andy Gigante, President and CEO of Orthodynamics Company, inc., has helped Cornerstone with a no interest loan to gain crucial HVAC upgrades. With those upgrades and through his donation of solar equipment, Cornerstone has been able to significantly improve our energy efficiency. This partnership helped us complete important building improvements while also lowering our carbon footprint. Thanks, then, to the support of a generous silent donor, we were able to pay off the remaining loan balance on these projects, allowing us to fully benefit from solar credits and continue investing in the preservation of our nearly 100-year-old building. This milestone marks an exciting step forward in our long-term sustainability and preservation efforts.

But that’s not all—spring brings fresh opportunities for growth here at Cornerstone. We closed out our winter session with over 215 students participating in our classes, and we are thrilled to announce that our spring session is now live! We’ve added new clubs, membership opportunities, private lessons, and workshops to our regular class programming, offering even more opportunities for creativity and learning. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner, there’s something for everyone at Cornerstone this season.
