MUNCIE, IN—Northwest Bank has named Garrett Doan as Regional Commercial Banking Market Executive for Indiana, where he will lead the bank’s commercial banking strategy and teams across the state, with a focus on relationship‑driven growth and strong community presence.
In this role, Doan is responsible for overseeing Northwest Bank’s Commercial Bank in Indiana, serving commercial and industrial businesses, and expanding the bank’s commercial banking footprint in key markets including Muncie, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and South Bend/Mishawaka.
Doan brings more than 30 years of banking and financial services experience, the majority of which has been spent in Indiana. For the past five years, he has lived and worked in Delaware County and East Central Indiana, strengthening his connection to local businesses and the broader community.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to help lead and continue building Northwest Bank’s Commercial Bank across Indiana,” Doan said. “This is a community I know well and care deeply about. Our focus is on long‑term relationships, supporting businesses across the state with thoughtful credit solutions, strong treasury capabilities, and a banking experience grounded in understanding our clients and the communities they serve.”
Doan has built his career around relationship banking and community engagement. At Northwest Bank, he will focus on investing in and growing strong commercial banking teams across Indiana while partnering with local businesses and community leaders to support long‑term success.
“Indiana is an important growth market for Northwest Bank, and Garrett’s leadership and experience make him an ideal fit to help advance our commercial banking strategy,” said Mark Worthy, executive director and head of regional commercial banking at Northwest Bank. “His knowledge of the Indiana community, commitment to relationship banking, and passion for community involvement align well with our vision for building and growing our presence across the state.”
Doan and his wife, Lisa, are residents of Muncie. He is actively involved in the community and currently serves as Board President of the Muncie Downtown Development Partnership. He is also the Immediate Past Chairman of Forge East Central Indiana, a regional economic development organization serving East Central Indiana.
As Northwest Bank continues to expand its presence across Indiana, Doan’s leadership will support local businesses, strengthen community partnerships, and help grow the bank’s commercial banking platform throughout the state.
