MUNCIE, IN—The Ross Community Center is thrilled to announce Cindy Miller as their next Executive Director. With years of classroom and nonprofit experience, she is well-equipped to be the next great leader of the Ross Community Center.

Cindy is an educator and communications leader with more than 25 years of experience in primary education, higher education, and public relations. She holds a Master of Arts in Adult and Community Education from Ball State University, along with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She has also completed public relations and teaching certifications from Teachers of Tomorrow.

She has served as an elementary teacher and reading interventionist with Muncie Community Schools and recently worked as a Disability Support Specialist at Ivy Tech Community College, supporting inclusive learning environments. Earlier in her career, she spent more than two decades in leadership roles in marketing, communications, and technology at Ball State University, where she led strategic initiatives and received a regional Innovation Award.

Cindy is actively engaged in the Muncie community, serving on nonprofit boards and supporting initiatives that advance education, literacy, and child development.

We were impressed by the number and quality of applicants interested in being a part of the Ross Community Center. Cindy’s extensive experience, skills, and character clearly qualify her to lead this dynamic and essential organization. We are excited for the next chapter of Ross and the Thomas Park/Avondale communities.”

When speaking about her new role, Cindy said, “I’m pleased to join the Ross Community Center as Executive Director and look forward to working with our community and partners to carry forward its mission and deepen its impact for those we serve. Building on its rich history in Muncie, I am committed to strengthening programs and partnerships that empower this diverse community to thrive.”

Cindy will officially begin her duties on May 4.
