MUNCIE, IN—Crack the code, test inventive contraptions, and step into the delightfully imaginative world of Wallace & Gromit! Minnetrista Museum & Gardens announces the opening of Wallace & Gromit™: Get Cracking!, on view now through September 20, 2026, in the Center Building, Gallery 3. Designed for children ages 3–9 and their families, this immersive exhibition invites visitors to explore creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning through playful interactive experiences inspired by the beloved animated duo.
Inspired by the iconic characters created by Aardman Animations, the exhibition encourages children and families to experiment, collaborate, and think creatively together. Visitors can explore whimsical machines, solve puzzles, and move through colorful environments designed to spark curiosity and imaginative thinking. Exhibition experiences are presented in both English and Spanish, creating an engaging and accessible environment for families of all backgrounds.
“Animation gives us the freedom to create worlds powered entirely by imagination,” says Sebastián Encina, Director of Curation & Exhibition at Minnetrista. “Wallace & Gromit use creativity and invention to solve problems in unexpected ways, and this exhibition gives children the opportunity to do the same. Through play, kids can explore concepts connected to science, technology, engineering, art, and math in a space that feels welcoming, hands-on, and fun.”
Through hands-on exploration and inventive play, Wallace & Gromit™: Get Cracking! introduces young visitors to foundational STEAM concepts through interactive experiences centered around experimentation, invention, and problem-solving. The exhibition is presented in partnership with eKeeper Systems and supported by Meridian Health Services.
