MUNCIE, IN—On Sunday, September 13, from 1-2:30 p.m., Second Harvest Food Bank will host a food simulation at which people will navigate the difficulties of real-life obstacles, managing a tight budget while meeting nutritional needs. The exercise is one of two simulations offered by Forward Steps, an initiative of Second Harvest that addresses the “hope for tomorrow” component of the organizational tagline: “Help for Today, and Hope for Tomorrow.”
The event is being held at First Baptist Church, 309 E. Adams Street in Muncie in the fellowship hall. It is being attended by employees and volunteers from non-profit organizations that serve those who struggle, Ball State University students, community members, as well as people from different area churches.
Forward Steps is committed to deepening community understanding of poverty while paving the way for enhanced economic mobility.
To register for the event, call First Baptist Church at 284-7749.
