MUNCIE, IN—A new music festival series, Midwest Twin Fests, is happening in Muncie this weekend. This festival will now be a consecutive 2-day event after the series’ first installment, CornStock, originally scheduled for August 15th, was rescheduled due to the historical flooding earlier that week. CornStock is now taking place on Friday, October 16th and its sister festival, CornFlower, will follow on Saturday October 17th. CornStock will showcase both male and female musicians, while CornFlower, is a women’s music festival, featuring numerous lady musicians, artists and vendors.
This free to attend, all ages event is taking place at Elm Street Brewing Company, located at 519 N. Elm St., and 7 Rock Brew, 613 N. Madison St., 47305. The music festivals will feature two outdoor stages, one on the Elm Street Patio, and one at 7 Rock Brew and there will also be acoustic music inside the bar at Elm Street Brewery.
Doors open both days at 11 a.m., and music will begin Friday at 5 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m. and both days will end at 11 p.m. There will be a large variety of vendors at both venues and Edgar and Evie’s on Elm will also be open along the road on the one block walk between breweries on Race St. Attendees are permitted to carry properly marked alcoholic beverages as they traverse between venues under the provisions of the DORA Pass held by Elm Street Brewing Co and 7 Rock Brew.
Elm Street Brewing Co. offers a delicious and varied menu with creative and delectable daily food specials and a new fall cocktail menu. They will also be featuring their own custom brewed draft beer and craft drink specials for guests to enjoy at the breweries during Midwest Twins Fests.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, as these will be lawn style concerts. There will also be bonfires burning in the lawn firepits to keep attendees warm while they experience this live music event well into the evening autumn hours.
Midwest Twin Fests is organized by Ashley Gray, a Muncie native and current Philadelphia resident who also cofounded and organized the Maybelle Music Festival and the Wildflower Festival, 2020-2025, all hosted by Elm Street Brewery, with the avid support of the venue’s owners, Bill and Robin Lett.
Gray is assisted by Kimberly Sherwood, event vendor coordinator and Mike McKnight, event production director. Midwest Twin Fests is also partnered with Downtown Muncie.
