By: Tracy Warner— Fort Wayne, IN – Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans an approximate $6.5 million investment to upgrade the electric transmission network serving customers in Delaware County in eastern Indiana. The Yorktown Area Improvements Project involves upgrading about 2 miles of 34.5-kilovolt (kV) transmission line to 69-kV standards. The improvements help ensure reliability for I&M customers and support economic development. The company plans to rebuild some sections of the power line in its existing right-of-way. This entrance into Muncie will be fundamentally transformed with the addition of a pedestrian bridge, new trail connections, trailhead parking, and a sloped lawn with seating overlooking the White River. The restored Albany Bridge—the centerpiece of the Kitselman Trailhead—is designed to connect the White River Greenway and the Cardinal Greenway trails. By: The Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance— Muncie, IN— The Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance has announced that Magna Powertrain of America, an automotive parts and systems supplier, will expand its drivetrain component operation in Muncie-Delaware County, Indiana.
