Teachers Awarded Funding for Creative and Innovative Classroom Projects

Bell Education Grants from The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. during the final grant cycle of the academic year. Across the county, 1,000s of students benefit from Bell Education Grants each year. Clara Chi, Indiana Academy, was awarded $450 to expose high school juniors and seniors to Japanese culture through animation and film. Muncie Ivy Tech IT Students Bring Home 2 Golds and a Bronze

By: Jennifer S. Gasiorek— Muncie, IN—Muncie Ivy Tech Community College students participated in the 2018 statewide Information Technology Spring Expo. The Expo included opportunities for students to network and distribute their resumes to industry leaders like Cisco, Oracle, Microsoft and Wiley during the Career Expo. During the IT Challenge, more than 100 students competed in 8 different challenges. Ivy Tech Muncie students brought home two gold medals and a bronze medal in the competitions. ‘Lunchtime Opportunity Tables’ Expose MCS Students to Community Opportunities

The program is offered by the Whitely Community Council and aims to put students in touch with local businesses and organizations they may not normally have much contact with. Ball State Professor’s New Book Reviews History of Indiana’s State Forests

By: Marc Ransford— Muncie, IN—The next chapter for Indiana’s forests may be based on the need by Hoosiers for more outdoor space for recreation, says Ron Morris, a Ball State University history professor and co-editor with public historian Glory-June Greiff of a new book, “The History of Indiana State Forests.” The hardback book, which contains 144 full-color photographs by Glory-June Greiff, is the first of its kind, examining the history of Indiana’s state forests. Delphi Opera House Recalls Its History With New Exhibit Created By Ball State Students

Ball State’s Cardinal Communications To Participate in 24-hour CreateAthon
