Bell Education Grants program to support creative and innovative classroom projects this school year. By: Julie Tuttle Davis— Muncie, IN—Two teams from the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities participated in the statewide Indiana Academic Super Bowl Championship. The Academy’s science and math teams both finished in first place. The last time the Academy took two state championships in the same year was 2008 when the Academy also brought home the math and science trophies. The Community Foundation Scholarship is awarded to students who were selected by their individual schools as Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship nominees. The Community Foundation recognizes the outstanding achievements of these students with a $500 scholarship. By: PhyXTGears Media Team— Muncie, IN—Team 1720, the PhyXTGears, a part of  Muncie Delaware Robotics, is one of 15 teams from Indiana to earn a spot at the FIRST World Championship Competition in Detroit, Michigan. They earned their spot as one of the top ten ranked teams in Indiana after finishing as a finalist in the Indiana State Championship Competition this past weekend and winning the Industrial Design Award from General Motors for the design of their robot for the second time this season. Bell Education Grants from The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. during the final grant cycle of the academic year. Across the county, 1,000s of students benefit from Bell Education Grants each year.
