A festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is scheduled for Saturday, September 24. The Stuff-A-Bus event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pay Less Super Market, 715 S. Tillotson Ave., Muncie. By Kim Williams— DELAWARE COUNTY, IN –There was another record turnout for Heart of Indiana United Way’s Day of Action in Muncie, which was held on Friday, September 9, 2022. Day of Action is a community-wide volunteer event focused on bringing together individuals and groups to help make a difference in the community by working on one-day projects at local nonprofits.  589 volunteers came together to work in a single day of service. They learned about the mission and work of the 17 project sites, and the needs of our community. By MDCB— MUNCIE, IN—Since 2006, Muncie-Delaware Clean & Beautiful and the Muncie Sanitary District have organized over 4,900 volunteers to remove 150,000 pounds of trash (including over 950 tires) from the White River. Join them this September as that tradition of stewardship continues. Check-in is at Muncie’s Westside Park at 8 am. Volunteers can travel on foot or by canoe and will be transported to and from different points along the river. Crew leaders are especially needed this year.
