By: Mike Rhodes— Muncie, IN—On June 19th, hundreds of people attended a ticketed event at the Horizon Convention Center to celebrate the inauguration of Dale Basham as Rotary District 6560 District Governor for 2018-2019. Basham is the 7th person to represent Muncie as District Governor in the 100 year history of Rotary in our community. District 6560 encompasses 44 service clubs and 2,500 members throughout central Indiana. Horizon Convention Center Holds Fundraiser For Erskine Green Training Center

By: Mike Rhodes— Muncie, IN—During April’s First Thursday, the Horizon Convention Center raised awareness and funds for the Erskine Green Training Institute during their “flower hour” fundraiser. Flower Hour was a progressive walk of downtown Muncie where participants collected a flower at various stops,  finishing the tour at the Courtyard Marriott Muncie to receive a vase and attend a complimentary reception. Horizon Convention Center Hosts 2018 Midwest Women in Agriculture Conference

By: Mike Rhodes— The Horizon Convention Center hosted the 2018 Purdue Extension Midwest Women in Agriculture Conference on February 20-22. Approximately 175 women attended the conference as well as an additional 90 8th-12th graders who attended during the Young Ladies in Agriculture portion of the conference. Attendees came from Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois. Dr. Jason Henderson, a nationally recognized expert in agriculture and rural issues was a keynote speaker for the February 21st luncheon session.
