Paul Harris and three business associates founded Rotary International in 1905, in Chicago. The locations for the early club meetings rotated using each of the member’s offices – thus the name Rotary Club. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.  The Rotary motto is “Service Above Self.”
