Muncie, IN—TeenWorks, Inc. is a non-profit organization driven to empower teens to achieve excellence in community, college, and career. The Indianapolis based non-profit, serves teens in Marion and Delaware County, and is led locally by Regional Director, Kari Wissel.

A teens participation in TeenWorks programming begins through the organizations Summer Program; a 6-week community-based employment experience that allows students to gain the skills necessary to be successful in their first jobs. By partnering with other local non-profits, these often-underserved students see the importance of giving back to their community, while TeenWorks is able to bust barriers, such as transportation, lunch, and uniforms, that may keep students from looking for employment otherwise. This, paired with weekly professional development, help students reach a new level of self-confidence, and recognize that achieving professional success is within their reach.

If you’re interested in learning more about our programs, hearing directly from student alumni and leadership, or finding ways you can get involved, we invite you to a TeenWorks tradition, the 2ndAnnual TeenWorks Futures Breakfast. Due to COVID-19, the event will take place virtually Wednesday, October 28that 8:00 a.m. as the health and safety of our teens, guests, and staff is priority.

You will be asked to consider making a contribution during the presentation, but there is no minimum you are required to give to attend. As much as anything, the organizations wants the community to join and hear about the impact TeenWorks has on the youth served and the amazing work they do.
