Ohio-Based Logistics Firm Expands in Delaware County

DSE Truckload
DSE Truckload, a transportation services company serving customers across North America, announced plans to expand its operations here, creating up to 45 new jobs by 2017.“Indiana’s nationally recognized business climate keeps companies based out-of-state coming back to the Hoosier State,” said Victor Smith, Indiana Secretary of Commerce. “With our central Midwest location, Indiana stands out with more pass-through interstates than any state in the nation. This helps logistics firms like DSE Truckload reach their destinations faster and create more great Hoosier jobs, making Indiana a state that works.”The company, which is a subsidiary of Toledo, Ohio-based Bolt Holdings, will invest $2.2 million to expand and renovate its 11,000-square-foot operations center, adding a second facility that covers 3,000 square feet on its 15-acre campus in Daleville. The company plans to reconfigure its Daleville operations to also include a new driver center, providing a training space for the company’s new drivers. DSE Truckload anticipates the renovations will be complete later this year.“DSE Truckload has been a key asset to the strategic growth of Bolt Holdings,” said Mike Mitchell, general manager of DSE Truckload. “We are committed to our team of Indiana-based drivers and thus providing a key truckload service to clients across the nation. Our expansion will give our drivers a space to feel more like home with laundry facilities, multiple showers and a larger lounge. They are the reason we are successful.”DSE Truckload, which currently employs more than 80 Hoosiers, has already begun hiring office associates, mechanics and drivers. Interested applicants may apply on the company’s website.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered D.S.E. Services, LLC up to $315,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The town of Daleville approved additional incentives for D.S.E. Services, LLC at the request of the Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance.

“DSE’s growth in Delaware County is encouraging news, and speaks volumes to the quality of the labor force and the positive business environment offered in our community and the state of Indiana,” said Sherry Riggin, president of the Delaware County Commissioners. “The commissioners pledge their support and assistance for the company’s continued, successful growth.”
