The Land Conservation Fund was created to preserve and protect important conservation and recreation areas throughout Delaware County or those owned by Delaware County organizations by matching donations of land or dollars. By: Katy Maggart— Muncie, IN – Open Door Health Services is excited to be celebrating National Health Center Week (NHCW). The national campaign runs August 13-19th with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s Health Centers over the course of more than five decades. Open Door plans to celebrate by hosting several community events during that week. These events include car seat checks, Farmer’s Market, and a health fair. By: Susie Burns— Muncie Artists Guild announces the opening of their 64th Annual Show, Lasting Impressions, on Sunday, August 13 at Minnetrista. The show will be up for two weeks, ending August, 27. The opening reception is noon to 3pm in the Indiana Room. It is open to the public and light refreshments will be served. This year’s judge is Lynnette Whitesell, a Hartford City artist who works in watercolor and mixed media.
