Indiana Pacers’ Darnell Hillman Offers Life Lessons on Attitude for YOC Kids

Hillman incorporated life lessons about “old-school” character values like respect for self and others, dedication, accountability, responsibility and commitment, into his motivational talk on Attitude. The YOC’s recreational and activities program is designed to positively influence YOC youth. Its aim is to promote self-discipline, responsibility, and essential teamwork skills. Ivy Tech Community College East Central Region’s “Gardens of Ivy” Project Nears Completion

On April 4th at 3 pm, a major milestone in construction was reached when the Ivy Tech Totem was set in the center of the garden. This raised bed garden located at the Muncie Cowan Road Campus was designed and constructed by students in the Agriculture, Design, Building Technology, and Welding Programs. Yorktown’s Holly Stachler Named Winner of “Next Generation Leaders” Technology Award

Muncie District Golf Association Tournament Begins 81st Season

By: Jim Mansfield— The Muncie District Golf Association (MDGA) begins its 81st season on April 23rd with the Spring 2-Man Scramble slated for The Players Club golf course. Delaware County Robotics Team Earns Spot In State Championship Competition

By: The PhyXTGears Media Team— Muncie, IN— Delaware County’s own PhyXTGears robotics team 1720 finished runner-up at the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) Perry Meridian district robotics tournament in Indianapolis, earning the team a spot in the FIRST Indiana State Championship competition in Huntington, Indiana, April 7-8 while competing with their robot, Spitfire. PhyXTGears is a team of 29 students and 14 mentors who built a robot in six weeks to compete with and against other robots in a steampunk-themed game created by FIRST, called STEAMworks.
