Muncie, IN—The Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie and Old National Bank are excited to invite you to the 4th Annual Just Desserts on October 3, 2019. This year’s event will take place in the Ivy Tech Ballroom, located at 345 S. High Street.
More than 150 guests will enjoy wine, appetizers, music, and fellowship with friends to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie. Each table will work together to outbid other tables and win the dessert of their choice made by Muncie’s finest bakers. Last year’s event raised more than $25,000.
“Too many children in our community face barriers to success in their education, social interactions and recreational activities,” said Stephanie Shafer, banking specialist at Old National Bank. I believe the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie is making great strides to help our kids get the most out of their educational experience while mentoring them and empowering them to reach their full potential. The future of our community depends on our kids being prepared to be successful students, employees, friends, family members and citizens.”
Proceeds from the event will be used to offset the difference between the cost of membership to the member and the true cost to the center. Families are granted membership to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie for a cost of only $15 per year. The club averages a cost of $4,000 per year per member. The difference is made up with fundraisers, donations, and giving from our community partners.
