Kindergarten/Pre-K Registration Fair to be held April 14

MUNCIE, Ind. – Enrollment for all new and returning students for the 2022-23 school year begins today, April 11th at Muncie Community Schools (MCS). Parents and guardians are invited to visit any MCS building to get assistance with registering their children. They can visit anytime during the school day throughout the rest of this school year with special additional hours of 4 to 6 p.m. this evening.

In order to expedite the registration process, parents should bring with them:

  • Current identification
  • Proof of residency
  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Student’s immunization records

Anyone who doesn’t need assistance can register online at EnrollinMCS.org. MCS has streamlined the process for parents and guardians of returning students, and added video tutorials for further assistance. By enrolling their students early, parents and guardians will make it easier for school principals to anticipate the appropriate number of teachers and support staff they need in their buildings on the first day of school, which is set for August 9.

In addition, MCS will host a special Registration Fair for kindergarten and preschool students on Thursday, April 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Muncie Fieldhouse. This will be an opportunity to meet MCS teachers and administrators and get any questions answered. The event will include other MCS partners like On My Way Pre-K, Meridian Health Services, Muncie Boys & Girls Club, MuncieBy5 and others. There will also be school mascots, a bounce house and free food.
