Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce to Host Annual Meeting and Dinner

Muncie, IN— The Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce will honor its members for their impact on our community at their 129th Annual Meeting & Dinner on Thursday, October 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Horizon Convention Center. Each year, the Chamber presents five prestigious awards at the Annual Dinner.

The Chamber has revamped the awards this year to even better represent the community and members.

The awards include:

Spirit of Small Business Award

The Spirit of Small Business Award is presented to an individual(s) who own and/or operate a small business in the greater Muncie area.

The finalists are Amazing Joe’s, The Caffeinery, and Whimsies.

Community Impact Award

The Community Impact Award is presented to an individual, organization, or company that has made significant contributions to the well-being and/or quality of life in the greater Muncie area.

The finalists are Muncie Downtown Development Partnership, SteVen Knipp, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie.

Economic Impact Award

The Economic Impact Award is presented to an individual, organization, or company that has made significant contributions to the economic well-being of the greater Muncie area.

The finalists are East Central Indiana Regional Partnership and FlatLand Resources.

Young Professional of the Year Award

The Young Professional of the Year Award is presented to an individual under the age of 35 who has made significant contributions to the well-being of the greater Muncie area.

The finalists are David Heilman, Mekayla Cooper, and Ben Polk.

New Member of the Year Award

The New Member of the Year Award is presented to a member who has joined the Chamber in the last 24 months and has shown great engagement and enthusiasm for Chamber events and activities.

The finalists are Honor and Remember, Johnson Pet Waste Removal, and ViaQuest Hospice.

The Ball Brothers Foundation will also present their Fisher Governance Award. The recipient will be announced at the event. The Chamber will share about the great work done over the past year.
