MUNCIE, IN — A new design-build studio is launching to serve Hoosier homeowners who delight in details, who value high-end materials, and who expect more from contractor relationships.
1874 Design Studio offers customers full-service remodeling, specializing in kitchen, bath, and whole-home renovations, serving Central Indiana and beyond. The studio is a division of Knapp Supply Co., a 150-year-old kitchen and bath remodeling and plumbing supply provider.
As a design-build business, 1874 Design Studio helps clients reimagine kitchens, bathrooms, and entire homes without the stress often associated with remodeling. The team manages every step of the process, beginning with design conversations and continuing through installation.
“Many homeowners know their space no longer works for the way they live, but feel overwhelmed by where to begin,” said Laura Sherrell-Miller, Director and Interior Designer at 1874 Design Studio. “We’re here to listen and guide them through the entire process.”
Sherrell-Miller brings more than 15 years of experience in high-end residential design to the studio. A graduate of Ball State University’s accredited interior design program with a focus in interior architecture, she brings both technical expertise and an artist’s intuition for detail.
1874 Design Studio operates out of the same building as Knapp Supply Co., located at 420 S. Ohio Avenue in Muncie, Indiana. This connection provides clients with direct access to quality materials, established vendor relationships, and factory-direct pricing, benefits typically unavailable through traditional remodeling routes.
The showroom, currently under construction, will give clients the opportunity to walk through curated material selections hand-chosen by the 1874 Design Studio team for their remodeling projects. Clients will have access to a broad range of premium materials.
