MUNCIE, IN—The City of Muncie is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Muncie Mission aimed at expanding access to healthcare services for residents in need.
Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the City will provide the use of the facility located at 809 W. 8th Street for the expansion of the Muncie Missions no-cost community health clinic. This clinic will serve individuals who currently face barriers to accessing adequate healthcare, as it has at their current location since 2022, further strengthening the community’s support network.
The agreement also outlines a long-term transition plan, allowing the Muncie Mission to assume ownership of the facility in 2027, ensuring the clinic’s sustainability for years to come. The Muncie Mission will be responsible for equipping and staffing the clinic and delivering services to the community.
The City also extends its sincere appreciation to Meridian Health Services for its continued commitment to the Muncie community. Since beginning operations of the crisis center, Meridian has covered 416 visits, providing critical support and care to those in need. Their partnership and dedication have made a meaningful impact and continue to strengthen the local network of services.
Additionally, the Muncie Mission will transfer ownership of another property to the City for future community benefit, further demonstrating a shared commitment to serving Muncie residents.
