MUNCIE, IN – Indiana Treatment Centers will soon open a new treatment center in Muncie, expanding access to substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment for individuals and families across Central Indiana. The new location reflects a collaborative effort between Indiana Treatment Centers, Delaware County community leaders, and Ascension Recovery Services, a national leader in behavioral health program development and management.
Located in Delaware County, the Muncie facility was developed in response to the growing need for accessible, local treatment options for individuals seeking recovery support. For years, many individuals and families in the region have faced limited access to substance use disorder treatment, often requiring travel outside the community to receive care. The new center is designed to help close that gap while strengthening the local continuum of care.
Indiana Treatment Centers Muncie will provide medical detox and residential treatment services focused on evidence-based care, individualized treatment planning, and clinical oversight. The center will support individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns in a structured environment designed to promote stabilization, healing, and long-term recovery.
The project has received strong support from community leaders, local organizations, and justice system partners throughout Delaware County who have recognized the need for expanded treatment resources in the area.
“The opening of this new inpatient treatment center in Delaware County is long overdue,” said Jeffrey Hansard, Chief Probation Officer for Delaware County. “For years, our community has
faced some of the highest rates of negative outcomes connected to substance use disorders while lacking enough local treatment options for people who were ready to get help. This center fills a critical gap in our local continuum of care and represents hope, access, and a stronger local response to one of the most serious issues facing our community.”
Indiana Treatment Centers Muncie will serve individuals and families throughout Muncie, Anderson, New Castle, Marion, and surrounding communities by expanding access to compassionate, community-centered behavioral healthcare close to home.
