MUNCIE, IN—A new festival series is happening in Muncie. This Saturday August 15th, Elm Street Brewing Company, located at 519 N. Elm St., and 7 Rock Brew, 613 N. Madison St., will be hosting CornStock, the first in a two-part concert series called the Midwest Twin Fests.
CornStock will be featuring 19 musical acts. There will be two outdoor stages, one on the Elm Street Patio, one at 7 Rock Brew, and acoustic music inside the bar at Elm Street Brewery.
Doors open at 11 a.m., music will begin at 3 p.m. and end at 11 p.m.
There will be vendors at both venues and along the road on the one block walk between breweries on Race St.
Attendees are permitted to carry properly marked beverages between venues under the provisions of the DORA Pass held by Elm Street Brewing Co.
The festival is free to attend and open to all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, as these will be lawn style concerts.
CornFlower, a women’s music festival, will follow suit as the second part of this concert series, featuring numerous local lady musicians and vendors. Cornflower will take place in the same format, 3-11 p.m. on October 17th of this year.
The Midwest Twin Fests are organized by Ashley Gray, a Muncie native and current Philadelphia resident who also co-founded and organized the Maybelle Music Festival and the Wildflower Festival, 2020-2025, all hosted by Elm Street Brewery with the avid support of the venue’s owners, Bill and Robin Lett.
Gray is assisted by Kimberly Sherwood, vendor coordinator and Mike McKnight, production coordinator. Midwest Twin Fests also partnered with Downtown Muncie Development Partnership.
