MUNCIE, IN—Destination: Muncie is proud to announce the appointment of two Ball State University students, Adam Schuler and Samuel Brumley, as the newest Delaware County Ambassadors. As part of Ball State’s County Ambassador Program, these student representatives will play a key role in connecting their fellow Cardinals with the greater Muncie and Delaware County community.
Schuler and Brumley will serve as peer leaders on campus, helping to highlight the many events, activities, and attractions Delaware County has to offer. Through student-to-student engagement, both ambassadors will encourage their peers to explore beyond campus, discover local gems, and experience the vibrancy of the area they call home during their college years.
“Both Adam and Sam bring a unique passion for our community and a genuine excitement for sharing that with other students,” said Lena Reid, Communications Manager for Destination: Muncie. “They’re not only excellent representatives of Delaware County, but they also represent the very spirit of what it means to be involved, connected, and proud of where you live.”
Adam Schuler, a second-year student and Muncie Central High School graduate, currently works at the Muncie Children’s Museum. His deep ties to the community and firsthand experience with local attractions make him a natural fit for this role.
Samuel Brumley, a Yorktown native and Computer & Information Technology major, recently completed an internship at the Indiana Statehouse and remains active in both campus life and professional development opportunities.
“I’m proud to be a Ball State Cardinal and just as proud to be a longtime Muncie resident,” said Brumley. “Delaware County has given me and my peers so many opportunities—from growing up in Yorktown and spending summers at Catalina Swim Club to continuing my education at Ball State today. I’m excited to help others discover the experiences and sense of community that make this place so special.”
The Ball State County Ambassador Program is coordinated through the university’s Office of Governmental Relations and Industry Engagement. It empowers students to serve as liaisons between their home counties and the university by promoting local pride and awareness through social events, peer outreach, and community engagement.
Destination: Muncie will work closely with both ambassadors to provide resources, event information, and branded promotional materials to help them connect with students and share the best of Delaware County.
