MUNCIE, IN—Looking for ways to give back to your community?

Stop by the Ball State Faculty/Staff & Community Volunteer Fair 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Ball State’s L.A. Pittenger Student Center.

Meet representatives from over 20 local organizations, learn about volunteer opportunities that fit your interests and schedule, and connect directly with organizations doing great work in our community.

Why should YOU volunteer?

  • It’s good for your health! Volunteering locally strengthens your personal well-being by reducing stress, boosting happiness, and helping you forge deep, meaningful connections with your neighbors.
  • It’s good for your community! It directly uplifts your community by mobilizing essential support for local programs, filling resource gaps, and fostering a safer, more resilient neighborhood for everyone.

This is the first time this Volunteer Fair has been open to the community and we would love for you to join us! Complete a volunteer bingo card while you’re there for a chance at some fun door prizes.

Today, only about 26% of Americans volunteer regularly. If you’re one of those who hasn’t found an organization that matches your personal passion, this event is an opportunity to meet with local nonprofits making a direct impact in our community.

The event is hosted by Ball State’s Office of Student Life and Student Voluntary Services, Ball State’s Office of Community Engagement and the Nonprofit Support Network.

Registration is not required. Just stop by.
